Pricing Questions

Standard site entry fees are not included in the listed guide fees, as they are collected at each site's ticket office and are subject to change by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities without notice. We provide a full breakdown of expected entry fees for your chosen itinerary at the time of booking confirmation so there are no surprises. All permit fees for special access areas applied for by Nile Heritage Guides on your behalf are included in the Scholar package fee.

Our pricing is structured per group, not per person, because the cost of a licensed guide and the permit and logistics work behind each tour is largely fixed regardless of group size. Solo travellers pay the per-group fee at a reduced minimum-group rate. However, we do operate shared-group tours for popular programmes — particularly the Grand Egyptian Museum walk-through and the Saqqara day — which allow solo visitors and couples to join a compatible group at a per-person rate of EGP 680–950. Check availability when you enquire.

We accept bank transfers in EGP, EUR, GBP and USD, and accept major credit and debit cards through our invoicing system. A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking. The balance is due seven days before the tour date. For multi-day programmes, a 50% deposit is required at booking with the remainder due ten days before departure.

Cancellations received more than 14 days before the tour date receive a full refund of all fees paid. Cancellations 7–14 days before the tour date receive a refund of the balance payment (50% deposit retained). Cancellations within 7 days of the tour date are non-refundable. However, for all cancellations regardless of timing, we offer a single complimentary rescheduling to a new date within 12 months, subject to guide and site availability. This policy covers force majeure events including government advisories and site closures.

Multi-day programmes are priced as a package, not as daily rates multiplied together, because planning, logistics and the continuity of interpretation across multiple days represent distinct value over separate bookings. A 5-day Nile Corridor programme at Scholar level is priced at EGP 38,500 per group, which represents approximately 16% below the sum of individual daily fees. Detailed multi-day pricing is available on request — contact us with your proposed dates and sites.

Yes. Academic institutions, universities and registered research organisations booking programmes of three days or more receive a 12% discount on guide fees. We also offer phased invoicing for institutions with fiscal-year procurement cycles, allowing deposit and balance payments to fall in different budget periods. Contact us with your institution's details and programme requirements for a formal quotation and partnership agreement.
